Time travelers, assemble! 🕰️👖
Jeans have been around for over 150 years, and they’ve seen some… interesting transformations. Let’s take a walk through denim history and see how we got to today’s ONESO styles!
1870s-1900s: Workwear Origins
Jeans were strictly for miners, farmers, and laborers. Durable, stiff, and definitely not fashionable. Function over form! ⛏️
1950s: Rebel Without a Cause
Cue James Dean. Jeans became symbols of youth rebellion. Rolled cuffs, white tees, leather jackets—the birth of cool. 🏍️
1960s-70s: Hippie Flares & Personalization 🕊️
Denim went psychedelic! Bell-bottoms, embroidered patches, painted designs. People expressed individuality through their jeans. Sound familiar?
1980s: Designer Denim
Suddenly, jeans had labels on the outside. Acid wash, stone wash, Guess? and Calvin Klein made denim high fashion. Fit was everything.
1990s-2000s: Baggy vs. Skinny
The great denim debate! Hip-hop brought baggy, skater styles, while punk and indie scenes kept skinny jeans alive. Low-rise? Don’t even get us started.
2010s-Today: The Age of Choice
Everything is acceptable! High-rise, cropped, distressed, raw hem, wide-leg, straight, slim—wear what makes YOU feel good.
At ONESO, we honor denim’s rich history while looking forward. Our classic cuts are inspired by the best of each decade, updated for modern life.
